European Congress of Mathematics

The Slovenian Discrete and Applied Mathematics Society was founded
in Koper, Slovenia, on 14 December 2016. The aim of this society is to
promote the mathematical sciences, with special emphasis given to
discrete and applied mathematics. It has members, fellows and honorary
members. The Society is internationally oriented as 30 % of its members
are foreign nationals. The society is research-aimed, and organises or co-
organises about 3 scientific meetings per year. It also publishes scientific
literature, for instance the monograph Noncommutative Lattices by
Jonathan E. Leech. It is also involved in publishing mathematical journals
Ars Mathematica Contemporanea and The Art of Discrete and Applied
Mathematics, both covered by zbMATH. Since 2018 the Society is a full
member of the EMS and a co-organiser of the 8ECM.
