             Instrument
For the purposes of the entire research project, a questionnaire called Tran-
sition of Children from Kindergarten to Elementary School was created, given
that none of the existing ones could fully answer the set goal and provide
a thorough insight into the researched phenomenon. The questionnaire is
the same for preschool teachers and elementary school teachers and con-
sists of 7 parts. In the introductory part of the questionnaire, the purpose of
the research and the research procedure were explained to the research par-
ticipants. The first part of the questionnaire refers to demographic data: gen-
der, age, highest professional qualification, length of service in the institu-
tion (kindergarten/elementary school), profession, county, etc. The next four
parts of the questionnaire were designed to collect data on different forms of
cooperation between kindergartens and schools in the context of transition
             processes.
The research presented in this paper utilized and analysed data collected
through the sixth section of the questionnaire, about the general appraisals
of the respondents about the current transitional practice of children from
             kindergarten to elementary school.
The internal consistency of the sixth part of the questionnaire is extremely
high, as indicated by the calculated Cronbach alpha coefficient (α =0.953). It
consists of 6 items with a five-point Likert-type scale that allowed respon-
dents to determine the degree of agreement with the statements related
