following:
– Register new users with the role of author (Figure 6.16)
– Edit the data of a user with the role of author (Figure 6.17)
– Delete a previously created user with the role of author (Figure 6.18)
Common Repository for Multimedia Resources
The Content Manager integrates a shared repository to store multimedia
resources, such as pictures, YouTube videos, audio files or long texts. Au-
thors can access to the repository directly through the Content Manager,
as shown in Figure 6.19. Figure 6.20 shows some of the resources created
by the linguists of the project to be used in the exercises.
The repository of multimedia resources has been configured in such a
way that anyone can use the resources of any author but can only delete
or modify the resources created by themselves. Authors can associate a
resource stored in the repository to a specific exercise in the corresponding
exercise configuration form, as shown in Figure 6.21.
Evaluation of The LanGuide Content Manager
The Content Manager has been assessed twice. The first assessment took
place after the first fully operational version was released and deployed in
the definite server² and the linguists of the project had used it to create
the first exercises with the tool.
