The COVID-19 pandemic forced schools to switch to online teaching and learn-
ing from home. In this situation, everyone had to adapt to the new condi-
tions and the way of teaching. In this paper a survey was conducted on a sam-
ple of class teachers who taught mathematics during the state of emergency
(N = 188) in order to examine the following: how teachers implemented on-
line mathematics teaching; what difficulties they had when harmonizing their
work plan with the plan determined by the state; how they prepared for online
teaching of mathematics; whether they are satisfied with their own organiza-
tion and implementation of online teaching of mathematics and what their
views on the implementation of online learning in regular teaching of mathe-
matics are. The results of the research have shown that the majority of teachers
implemented the teaching of mathematics through Viber groups and using the
national platform; most of them had difficulties in harmonization of the curric-
ula with their own work plans; they independently prepared for teaching; most
of them are not completely satisfied with online teaching of mathematics, yet,
they would use online contents as an assistance to regular teaching.
