new account. A valid email address, and a password are needed when reg-
istering a new account. The registration process requires the user to verify
their email address. This means that the mobile app sends an email to the
provided email and the user will need to click a link in the email to verify
their account. After the user login, the application will remember the user
and will login automatically in the future to make it more convenient.
The first time that a user logs in to the application, they are greeted with
a welcome page. Through the welcome screen the user is asked to provide
some initial settings for the application. These settings include: (1) the lan-
guage to practice and the (2) learner’s field of study, (Figure 7.3). These op-
tions can later be changed in the settings menu in the app if needed. After
this step, a short tutorial will be presented to the user to teach them how
to get started with the application (Figure 7.4).
