Summary

Responsibility is the connective tissue and one of the core values
of modern liberal society, which is expected of people and organi-
zations. The monograph is generally based on survey of literature
on the area of responsibility and social changes in the environment
(economic, natural and socio-cultural). The basic purpose of the
monograph is to encourage and deepen the discussion on individ-
ual consumer responsibility and his impact on social changes. The
discourse of responsibility is focused on the individual as the main
protagonist, who is involved in the dynamics of social challenges
in the context of globalization, postmodernism and consumerism,
and on the ability of responsible awareness and action in the social
structure, either through individual, collective, indirect or direct in-
fluence on social changes. The monograph is based on an interdisci-
plinary approach and deals with the concept of responsibility in the
social, behavioural and marketing theory, which in various individ-
ual and collective contexts explains the cause and the consequent
influence on social change.

On the basis of the thesis that in the tourism sector in the con-
text of global concern, the society response reflects on the side of
consumers and their shift towards responsibility, we have between
the theoretical and the empirical research operated with the con-
cept of accountability at the level of the individual. For the future
development of tourism responsible consumers with their initiatives
and practices are an important link in the development and design-
ing of the tourist offer. At this point, therefore, we are faced with the
