dents are our partners

Students of our department participated in two student symposiums (on Simon Jen-
ko and Marjan Tomšič) with contributions from the field of literature and linguistics.
They are actively involved, or they have been involved in radio programs advising
listeners on various language issues, ‘Kotiček za jeziček ‘and ‘Kikirikijeva gramatika’.
As listeners or active collaborators, they co-create ‘SloVečere’, which include literary
evenings with book presentations and readings, round tables, and discussion eve-
nings. In the Proofreading club, they debate on proofreading issues. They put the
acquired knowledge into practice at the Summer Slovene Language Courses on the
Slovenian coast, where they help students with individual explanations in individu-
al consultations. They also participated in the recording of educational videos for
learning Slovene and in the creation of the Slovenian-Russian collocation dictionary
for beginners.

Students are our pride

Nina Trampuš graduated from the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Pri-
morska with Assist. Prof. Ana Beguš in 2016 with the thesis Linguistic and genre ade-
quacy of press releases, for which she also received the Bartol Award for the best di-
ploma thesis. During her studies, she already proved to be an excellent student, and
at the same time began to gain her first work experience as a proof-reader for vari-
ous clients, including the magazine ‘Avtomedija’ and the Slovenian Istrian Winegrowers’
Association, and as a journalist and later project manager and public relations man-
ager at Radio Capris. In 2014, she joined the office of the Mayor of the Municipality
of Piran, where she worked as a coordinator and expert associate, and since 2019
she has been working as the head of the Office of the Mayor of the Municipality of
Koper.
