Changes in the Teaching of Music Arts from the Beginning of the
COVID-19 Epidemic to 2022
In the last two years, music teachers in primary schools have been constantly
confronted with changes in the planning and implementation of lessons and
changes in the learning environment, which has forced them to develop new
work strategies, both for remote and classroom teaching. We were interested
in the changes in the teaching of music during the COVID-19 epidemic, in what
changes teachers have maintained after the experience of distance teaching
and in the changes in students’ attitudes towards music since the beginning
of the epidemic. In the period from March 2020 until the present, many teach-
ers have gained new knowledge and experience, and prepared new didactic
materials that they are still using today. On the other hand, the attitude of stu-
dents towards the subject of music arts changed during this time, not for the
better, as they were deprived of the right experience of the subject of music
due to ways of working that do not provide optimal opportunities for music
activities.
