we present the treatment of a child with a one-sided visual impairment and
risk factors for the development of deficiencies in various fields of develop-
ment, and early treatment programmes and activities the child was included
in, and stress the importance of a multi-disciplinary approach and a holistic
view of the child. The individualized early intervention programme included
the child’s treatment by a plethora of experts with different profiles with an
emphasis on including the parents in the everyday activities of the child. This
played a key role in the child’s integrated development and the acquisition of
developmental milestones in an optimal period.
