differences between the practices of speech therapists in terms of work envi-
ronment and length of service. Findings indicate a low confidence of Slove-
nian SLTs in managing stuttering. The main differences were found between
the importance SLTs attribute to procedures for initial treatment of childhood
stuttering and their actual implementation in practice. The results indicate the
need to strengthen the competencies of SLTs in this area.
