                       The Role of Physical Education in Encouraging National Identity
                       in the Bilingual Area of Prekmurje
                       This paper explores the role of physical education in primary and secondary
                       schools in promoting the national identity of pupils and students in Prekmurje,
                       a bilingual region. Quantitative data from 152 respondents in bilingual pri-
                       mary and secondary schoolsin Prekmurje were collected using an online ques-
                       tionnaire. The results show that physical education in Prekmurje promotes
